What is a industrial submersible pump?

Submersible pump is an important equipment for deep well water extraction. When in use, the whole unit dives into the water and extracts groundwater to the surface. It is used for domestic water, mine rescue, industrial cooling, farmland irrigation, seawater lifting, ship loading, and fountain landscape.

Hot water submersible pumps are used for bathing in hot springs, and are also suitable for extracting groundwater from deep wells, and can also be used for water lifting projects such as rivers, reservoirs, and canals. It is mainly used for farmland irrigation and water for humans and animals in high mountainous areas. It can also be used for central air conditioning cooling, heat pump units, cold pump units, cities, factories, railways, mines, and construction sites for drainage. Generally, the flow rate can reach 5~650m³/h, and the head can reach 10-550m.Sewage Submersible Pumps company -Hiltech

How does a submersible pump work?

There are several types of submersible pumps, and the wires in the motor are oil-immersed, water-immersed, and dry.

You must read the manual before using it, and you can’t make a mistake. If you don’t use it for a long time, you must turn the impeller before using it, otherwise it will burn because it will be stuck for a long time. Before starting the pump, the suction pipe and the pump must be filled with liquid. After the pump is turned on, the impeller rotates at a high speed, and the liquid in it rotates with the blades. Under the action of centrifugal force, it flies away from the impeller and shoots out. The speed of the injected liquid gradually slows down in the diffusion chamber of the pump casing, and the pressure gradually increases. Outlet, the discharge pipe flows out. At this time, a vacuum low-pressure area without air and liquid is formed at the center of the blade due to the liquid being thrown to the surroundings. The liquid in the liquid pool flows into the pump through the suction pipe under the action of the atmospheric pressure on the pool surface, and the liquid continues like this. It is continuously sucked up from the liquid pool and continuously flows out from the discharge pipe.

Mechanical structure of electric submersible pump

The submersible electric pump unit consists of four parts: water pump, submersible motor (including cables), water pipe and control switch. The submersible pump is a single-suction multi-stage vertical centrifugal pump; the submersible motor is a closed water-filled wet type, vertical three-phase squirrel-cage asynchronous motor, and the motor and the pump are directly connected through a claw-type or single-key barrel coupling; equipped with different specifications Three-core cable; the starting equipment is an air switch of different capacity levels and an auto-coupling decompression pneumatic device; the water delivery pipe is made of steel pipes of different diameters, connected by flanges; the high-lift electric pump is controlled by a gate valve.

The upper part of the submersible motor shaft is equipped with a labyrinth sand control device and two skeleton oil seals assembled in reverse to prevent quicksand from entering the motor. The submersible motor adopts water-lubricated bearings, and the lower part is equipped with a rubber pressure-regulating film and a pressure-regulating spring to form a pressure-regulating chamber to adjust the pressure change caused by temperature; the motor winding is insulated with polyethylene, and the nylon household is covered with water-resistant electromagnetic wires. The cable connection method is according to In the cable joint process, remove the insulation of the joints and scrape off the paint layer, connect them separately, weld them firmly, and wrap a layer with raw rubber. Then wrap 2-3 layers with waterproof adhesive tape, and wrap 2-3 layers of waterproof tape on the outside or wrap a layer of rubber (bicycle inner tire) with water glue to prevent water seepage.

A rubber bearing is installed in each diversion shell of the submersible pump; the impeller is fixed on the pump shaft with a cone sleeve; the diversion shell is connected into one body with threads or bolts. The upper part of the high-lift submersible pump is equipped with a check valve to avoid damage to the unit caused by water hammer during shutdown. The motor is airtight, and the precision seam bolts are used, and the cable outlet is sealed with a rubber pad. There is a water injection hole at the upper end of the motor, an air discharge hole, and a water discharge hole at the bottom. The lower part of the motor is equipped with upper and lower thrust bearings. There are grooves on the thrust bearings for cooling, and the stainless steel thrust discs it grinds against, bear the upper and lower axial forces of the water pump.

Types of industrial submersible pumps

As far as the medium used, submersible pumps can be roughly divided into three categories: clean water submersible pumps, sewage submersible pumps, and seawater submersible pumps (corrosive).

Submersible pump installation method

According to different division methods, the types of submersible pumps are also different:

1. According to the medium used, submersible pumps can be divided into three categories: clean water submersible pumps, sewage submersible pumps, and seawater submersible pumps (corrosive);

2. According to the installation method, it can be divided into:

Vertical vertical use, such as in general water wells;

Inclined use, such as in sloped roadways in mines;

For horizontal use, such as in a pool.
