Introduction of digital pressure gauge

Publish Time: 2022-11-07     Origin: Site

The digital pressure gauge is fully electronic, battery powered and easy to install in the field. The front end adopts a high-precision piezoresistive pressure sensor. After the output signal is amplified by a high-precision, low-temperature drift amplifier,it is sent to a high-precision A/D converter and converted into a digital signal that can be processed by a microprocessor. The LCD display shows the actual pressure value. The intelligent digital pressure gauge is flexible in use, simple in operation, convenient in debugging, safe and reliable.Widely used in hydropower, tap water, petroleum, chemical, mechanical, hydraulic and other industries to measure and display the pressure of fluid media.

Features of digital pressure gauge

  • Large-screen LCD display, high resolution, ignoring digital errors.

  • Peak hold function, record the maximum pressure value during the measurement process;

  • Dynamic display of pressure percentage (progress bar display).

  • Five engineering unit options: psi, bar, kpa, kg/c ㎡ Mpa.

  • Select 1~15min automatic shutdown function.

  • Micro power consumption, power saving mode work for more than 2 years, continuous work for 2000 hours.

  • Parameter correction function, which can correct the zero point and error value of the instrument on site.

  • The upper and lower limits are limited.

  • Sampling rate:4 times/second.

  • Suitable for pressure measurement of various gases and liquids compatible with stainless steel.

  • High protection level, suitable for outdoor and other harsh working conditions.

Digital Industrial and Process Pressure Gauge

Digital industrial and process pressure gauges feature a digital LCD display with a digital readout in multiple selectable engineering pressure units. Some models add features such as data hold, conversion,or analog graphic readouts. The meter should be compatible with the process medium and the necessary level of accuracy required.

Why choose digital meters?

Accuracy Digital pressure gauges are much more accurate than analog pressure gauges.

  • Analog Pressure Gauge - The rule of thumb for an analog pressure gauge is that when the system is operating at normal pressure, the needle should point directly up or at the "twelve o'clock" position. Therefore, since most dial gauges are most accurate in the middle third of the gauge, you must always choose a gauge with a range about twice the normal operating pressure.

  •  Digital Pressure Gauge – The rule of thumb for digital pressure gauges is that you match the maximum pressure you measure to the pressure on the gauge. Cecomp digital pressure gauges have a standard accuracy of 0.25% of the gauge's full scale, but most scales have an accuracy of 0.1%, so you'll automatically get better accuracy because the scale is just the scale you measure, not twice the normal operating pressure time. Readability Analog gauges are often misread due to parallax issues (the phenomenon that the gauge dial appears in one position from one angle and in different positions from a different angle).

  •  Digital gauges have digital readouts,so there are no reading parallax issues and no scatter Column.Repairability If the digital meter is physically damaged (i.e. the display or panel/keypad is punctured),the calibration is usually not affected and can be repaired at nominal cost.Durability Due to the solid state design, the digital pressure gauge can be used in high vibration applications. The display will remain stable, while the analog gauge needle may jump around, making it difficult to get an accurate reading.Engineering Units Analog gauge engineering units cannot be changed in the field.Dial faces must be reprinted and replaced to change engineering units.Cecomp digital pressure gauges feature a microprocessor that allows the user to change engineering units, set battery on/off times, and digitally calibrate the gauge.

  •  Digital meters can withstand considerable shock, vibration and abuse without losing calibration.Analog meters are often "uncalibrated" after the first drop or impact.

  •  Because of their superior accuracy, digital pressure gauges are often used as "gauge standards" to test analog pressure gauges to determine if they are in calibration and if they are working properly.A rule of thumb for checking instruments is a 4:1 ratio.Since analog meters are typically 2% accurate (or worse), 0.25% digital meters are sufficient for this purpose.
