With the development of automation, the liquid level switch may be unfamiliar to many consumers. As a common sensor for measuring the liquid level position, the liquid level switch is a kind of sensor that converts the height of the measured liquid into. It is widely used in industry, food, medicine, petroleum and other industries. Due to the complex operating environment, diverse needs and always adaptable, it is mainly divided into contact type and non-contact type in form. Non-contact type such as capacitive liquid level switch, contact type such as: float type liquid level switch, electrode type liquid level switch, electronic liquid level switch. Capacitive level switches can also be implemented using a contact method. Among them, the more common ones are tuning fork level switch, float level switch, photoelectric level switch, electrode type level switch.

The working principle of the tuning fork level switch is to make the tuning fork vibrate at a certain resonance frequency through a pair of piezoelectric crystals installed on the base. When the tuning fork of the tuning fork level switch is in contact with the measured medium, the frequency and amplitude of the tuning fork will change. These changes of the tuning fork level switch are detected by the intelligent circuit, processed and converted into a switch signal to reach the liquid level. for alarm or control purposes. To allow the fork to extend into the tank, the fork switch is usually mounted to the side or top of the tank using a flange or threaded process fitting.

Float level switch

The float level switch structure is mainly designed and produced based on the principles of buoyancy and static magnetic field. The position of the float ball with a magnet (abbreviated as float ball) in the measured medium is affected by buoyancy: changes in the liquid level lead to changes in the position of the magnetic float. The magnet in the float ball and the sensor (reed switch) act to generate the switch signal.

The photoelectric liquid level switch product contains a near-infrared light-emitting diode and a photosensitive receiver. The light from the LEDs is directed into a lens on top of the sensor. When the liquid immerses the lens of the photoelectric liquid level switch, the light is refracted into the liquid, so that the receiver can not receive or only a small amount of light. The photoelectric liquid level switch senses this change in working conditions, and the receiver can drive the internal electrical switch to activate the external alarm or control circuit. If there is no liquid, the light from the LED is reflected directly from the lens back to the receiver.

Electrode type liquid level switch

The electrode type liquid level switch uses the conductivity of the liquid to monitor the level of the liquid level, and when it touches the rod, it will conduct electricity and output an alarm signal. The liquid level switch can be controlled at multiple points, and the control position is determined by the customer's needs. It has a breakthrough protection function and can effectively prevent surge interference. However, the electrode liquid level switch is only suitable for conductive liquids, and the liquid cannot be volatile.

Point level measurement instruments are used to mark a single, preset level condition such as the high or low-level condition that would trigger an alarm or switch. Level switches ensure a tank is never fully drained nor overflowing.
