Overview of Bulletin 1756 ControlLogix standard controllers

Bulletin 1756 ControlLogix Standard Controllers are suitable for process, motion, discrete and high availability applications. As part of the Rockwell Automation Integrated Architecture system, the L6 and L7 modules use RSLogix 5000 programming software and common network protocols, and provide a common message capability. These high-performance controllers provide a common control engine with a common development environment for all control domains. You can use these controllers for more complex machines and connect to business systems.

J-end environment controller

Bulletin 1756 ControlLogix-XTJ-End Environmental Controllers work and function the same as ControlLogix Standard Controllers. The XT controller utilizes the Rockwell Automation Integrated Architecture™ Control Engine with enhanced functionality to meet the needs of J-end environmental applications, including conformal coatings that extend product life in harsh corrosive environments. In addition, the XT control system places a module every other slot for thermal buffering and provides redesigned ventilation for enhanced airflow.

GuardLogix Safety Controllers

Bulletin 1756 GuardLogix safety controllers feature a dual processor architecture (1oo2) for SIL 3 PLe applications. As part of the Rockwell Automation™ Integrated Architecture™ system, these controllers use RSLogix5000 programming software to provide common information capabilities and support CIP Safety over EtherNet/IP and ControlNe networks. These high-performance controllers provide a common control engine with a common development environment for all control domains. You can use these controllers for more complex machines and connect to business systems.buy Allen Bradley 1756 ControlLogix I O Modules -Hiltech

Redundancy module

Bulletin 1756 and 1757 ControlLogix redundancy modules support fully redundant controller architectures without additional programming. Programs are automatically cross-loaded from the master to the slave, and the master automatically updates the slave with data changes to keep the controllers in sync. In the event of a failure of the master controller, control automatically switches to the slave controller, thus guaranteeing the execution of the functions of the highest priority, i.e. a "shockless transfer". Controller redundancy is transparent to any device connected via an EtherNet/IP or ControlNet network. For applications that must run in a J-side environment, select the ControlLogix J-side environment redundancy module.

Communication module

ControlLogix™ communication modules support EtherNet/IP, ControlNet, DeviceNet, Data Highway Plus, Remote I/O, FOUNDATION Fieldbus, Serial, DH-485, and SynchLink networks. You can interface through a ControlLogix gateway (no controller in the gateway chassis) using ControlLogix communication modules, or interface directly to a ControlLogix controller. For EtherNet/IP, ControlNet, Data Highway Plus, and Remote I/O networks, corresponding ControlLogix J-end environment communication modules are provided.

I/O modules

Bulletin 1756 ControlLogix I/O modules provide a comprehensive range of digital, diagnostic digital, analog, and motion I/O to meet a variety of application needs. Any of these I/O modules can be used in the native frame of the ControlLogix controller. In addition to motion control modules, these modules can be used in a framework linked to a ControlLogix controller across a ControlNet or EtherNet/IP network in a ControlLogix system.

Motion module

Add a Bulletin 1756 Sercos™ Interface Motion Module or Analog Interface Motion Module to your ControlLogix system to take advantage of the power of Kinetix integrated motion solutions. The Logix platform supports motion control components used in a wide range of machine architectures.

Power supply

Bulletin 1756 ControlLogix power supplies can be used with 1756 ControlLogix chassis to provide 1.2V, 3.3V, 5V, and 24V DC power directly to the chassis backplane. These power supplies are classified as standard, redundant, and J-end environment.

Frame

Modular ControlLogix and GuardLogix systems require a Bulletin 1756 I/O frame. These frames are designed for backplane-only horizontal mounting. You can put any module in any slot. The backplane provides high-speed communication paths between modules. The framework is divided into standard type and J-end environment type.
